McGAUGHEY, Samantha Hart - Putnam

Mrs. Samantha McGAUGHEY, 73, a life-long resident of Putnam Co, died Wednesday morning at 10 at her home near Fincastle following an illness of influenza and pneumonia. Her husband, Pleasant McGaughey, preceded her in death last May. Surviving are 3 children: Manford and Elmer and Mrs. Elmer Shannon; 10 grandchildren one great grand daughter; and the following sisters and brother; Mrs. Will Murray, Russellville; Mrs. Charles Benson, Fairmount; Mrs. Mellie Sutherlin, Clinton Falls and Charles Hart of Clinton Falls. Funeral services were held form the church at Fincastle, Friday afternoon at 2 and interment in Blakesburg Cemetery.
